For the Around the Bases CAL, I have chosen Pane in My Dahlia as my center square.
I saw this square long ago and have always loved it.
I am not a fan of joining motifs so, I never had a reason to use it.
Here is the reason!
Originally, I had made this in shades of pink and green.
Unfortunately, every time I looked at the flower, I only saw one thing:
A breast and nipple.
Yup, that is all I could see.
Even when I had the square complete with shades of green.
I tried doing surface crochet to change it up, but I still couldn’t use it as my center square.
So, I threw that away and started again with different colors.
Much better!
A pale yellow I can build from with all my different, random colors from my stash.
I had some trouble with Round 13, but in the end, I did end up with a stitch count of 34/side (multiple of 6-2 per instructed).
