I finished Girl Waits With Gun and enjoyed it! I hope the author, Amy Stewart, follows through on making this a series! I quite enjoyed keeping company with the Kopp Sisters.
Next selection: The Tin Horse by Janice Sternberg.
In the stunning tradition of Lisa See, Maeve Binchy, and Alice Hoffman, The Tin Horse is a rich multigenerational story about the intense, often fraught bond sisters share and the dreams and sorrows that lay at the heart of the immigrant experience.
I am still working on my first knitting project: Triangle Shawl.
Although I have a few mistakes in the beginning, I can see how I am improving as it grows. One thing I need to get used to is how much longer knitting takes as opposed to crochet.
I am also working on my Corner to Corner Baby Blanket. I had to order additional yarn to finish and am finally getting back to it. The recipient has arrived and I need to get cracking on this so I can mail it out within a week.
I am also making my kids, E and Miss ME, each a hat using Vanna’s Choice yarn I picked up at Joanne’s for $0.97/skein. I am going to use Spirals Beanie by Tasha Wells. Both kids are not fans of wearing hats, but I need two new ones to keep in the car in case they are needed.
Happy Reading, Knitting & Crocheting!
