I am still reading Judy Blume’s In the Unlikely Event. Loving it! However, since I own this book, it is the one I put aside when things come through from the library.
I finished The House on Mango Street. I enjoyed it. However, most reviewers wrote “life changing”…not so for me. I enjoyed it, but honestly, I could have put it down and forgotten about it. I am glad I read it though, definitely something I probably wouldn’t have picked up if I hadn’t seen it posted on another Yarn Alongers blog (love finding books not on my radar).
From the library I have Janet Evanovich’s Tricky Twenty-Two. I love this series, although I prefer to listen to the series rather than read it. Lorleil King narrates the audio books and I LOVE listening to her! Many times I have sat in my car laughing so hard that I’m sure people have thought I was a nut.
My current project:
YARNutopia’s Mermaid Tail Afghan. I am making the small size for a cute toddler, Miss E. I suggest watching the video tutorial as there are mistakes in the written pattern (which Nadia notes in video-just hasn’t been corrected in the written version). I love Nadia’s enthusiasm for all things crochet and am glad she is on the road to recovery after a recent surgery.
Yarn: Deborah Norville Everyday in Bright Violet and Red Heart Grape Fizz (both machine washable/dryable).
Hook: Furls 5.5mm
Happy Crocheting, Knitting & Reading!
