Last week I posted that I was starting The Good House.
Well, I barely made a dent in it.
So,once again that is my pick!
However, last week I picked up A Year By The Sea by Joan Anderson and I couldn’t put it down.
A lovely, quick read.
I highly recommend it!
Curling up with this autobiography will refresh readers’ souls and adjust their attitudes. During her year-long separation from family she was able to reestablish her connection to nature and discover new hope. She swam with seals, ran a mini-marathon, worked in a fish market, and earned extra income clamming—activities that gave her the opportunity to shed her image as a family nurturer and allowed her to grow as an independent woman. Anderson’s story reminds readers not to overlook their personal needs.
On the hook this week is E.L.K Studios Southern Diamond Wrap.
This is a CAL and this Saturday is the last installment.
Randomly, I had ordered Bernat Cotton-ish in three colors (with no project in mind). That is what I’m using for this wrap. I chose to make the small size and use it more as a scarf than a wrap.
On the needles this week is Tin Can Knits Wheat Scarf. Using Drops Fabel. A mindless knit, which hopefully will help my practice my purling (small amount of purling in this pattern-perfect for me).
Joining Ginnny’s Yarn Along.
Happy Reading, Knitting and Crocheting!
