I finished The Kept Woman by Karin Slaughter, Will Trent Series #8.
I loved it, as I do all the Will Trent books.
Finished in two days and now passed on to a friend who also loves the series.
This weeks choices:
- 84 Charing Cross Road
- I’ve seen this on many lists and put a hold on it through the library. At only 84 pages, this should be a seriously quick read.
- The Secret to Hummingbird Cake
- This was a Kindle $1.99 purchase. I am 40% through and it has just taken a serious turn. I am enjoying it.
My projects are finishing up my PomPom Scarf (pictured above) and finishing my crochet pattern test for The Knot Theorist.

Thank you! I made a mistake so it is on hold for now. I need some quiet time with YouTube to fix it…Little hands tend to grab at my projects and mess me up, so Monday is my day to fix it 😉

I have a hummingbird cake recipe pinned. It looked so good in the pictures. I add that book because I hope it has great cake scenes. You are zooming along on your scarf!

I didn’t know it was a real thing! So far, they have only mentioned the cake once. I’m assuming it will appear more as it is the title of the book!

I’ve been meaning to read “84 Charing Cross Road” forever; I’m a big snail mail letter-writer and I love epistolary novels. The “Hummingbird Cake” book has caught my eye too. Love the yarn color you’re using for your scarf!

I love 84, Charing Cross Road! The movie, if you can find it, is fantastic, and I highly recommend it. It stars Anne Bancroft and Anthony Hopkins. There’s also a follow-up book, The Duchess of Bloomsbury Street, which was fun to read, if not as good.
