Year Of Projects Update

This week, I needed to put my knit PomPom Scarf on hold.

I made a mistake and need to frog 3 rows.

This is a precarious situation.

I need quiet, YouTube (Marly Birds-How to TINK your knitting), and coffee.

Most importantly, no little people around me.

So, Monday morning will be my time to do that.

Instead, I made progress on my husband’s afghan.

The pattern is AnneMarie Benthem’s Honeycomb Blanket found in the book Crochet to Calm.

This is my long-term winter project which I will be linking each month to thistlebear’s Winter Project Link Party.

Yarn: Caron Simply Soft

Hook: Furls Odyssey 5mm

I also finished pattern testing The Knot Theorist’s Rain on Cobblestones Cowl.

I need to block this and will do a full post on it once the pattern is published.

Yarn: Cloudborn Fibers Highland DK

Hook: Furls Odyssey 5mm

Have a good week!

I like the green you are using, it’s so different. The test knit looks good. Hope your frogging gets reversed and you get the time to do it.

What a lovely and unique color for that cowl. It looks great. I love your husband’s afghan. The color is fun and the design I’ve never seen before. Wonderful start on that.

Your husbands blanket is a great design. It shows up quite well. Your cowl is very nice too. Good job on your progress this week. Sorry about having to frog on the pom pom. Hopefully, it will go smoothly for you.

Hi, thanks for joining in with my link party! I completely understand the need for child-free time to work on a project. I have the same issue, it seems like I can’t concentrate on anything very much for days (or maybe weeks) at a time. πŸ™‚ I love the stitch pattern in the honeycomb, how interesting. I’d never seen that before. It’s so effective done all in one color, the stitch design really shines through.
