This week I used some of my recent purchase of Berocco Vintage Chunky to make a simple PomPom Hat.
Utilizing Curious Handmade’s Easy Bobble Hat Pattern as a base, this was a quick hat.
I think its time I bite the bullet and make a hat in the round though.
The US size 15 straight needles caused me hand pain and my selvages are too loose to get a nice seam.
Although, I think my seam looks pretty darn good if I do say so myself!
I used Purl Soho’s video tutorial for the mattress stitch seam.
I love my Clover PomPom maker-a great $4.00 purchase.
I used Lion Brand Jiffy yarn for my pompom (I bought a whole lot of this yarn in varying colors at Job Lot for $1.00 skein. Makes great pompoms)
For my next hat, I am going to use the same basic pattern (for sizing), but do it on circulars.
I have enough yarn left over to make it in the same color (for me).
I think todays hat will look cute on Miss ME as a slouchy pompom hat!
Have a good week!
Happy knitting & crocheting!

pretty! I bought some pom pom makers last year but only used them the other day, I can’t believe I took so long to use it, it’s so fun!

Great job! Knitting in the round is easier than you think especially for a good ol’ stockinette stitch hat.
