Yarn Along

This weeks read is IQ by Joe Ide.

I heard the author interviewed on NPR’s Here and Now (hear it here) and knew I had to read it.

I downloaded a Kindle sample (Chapter 1) and was hooked and quickly clicked the “buy” button.

What is it about this book that grabbed me?

I honestly don’t know or can put into words, it just did.

That is my favorite kind of book!

So, Maria Semple’s book was tossed aside.

That needs to be returned to the library, so I’ll have to revisit it another time.

This weeks project is Bonnie Barker’s Dublin Duo Hat.

Found in her book Celtic Cable Crochet.

I own this book and Contemporary Celtic Crochet.

Her patterns are so lovely to look at and I plan on making several.

As for this hat pattern, I think this is one of the easiest hat patterns I have ever done.

Interesting construction (made in sections), simple stitches give it great texture.

I’m not sure my yarn choice shows off the cables very well, so I’m sure I’ll be making this

again.

Happy Reading & Crafting!
