I have two books this week.
First, When it Happens to You by Molly Ringwald.
Yes, Sixteen Candles Molly Ringwald!
Ringwald brings that same compelling candour she displayed in her film roles to the unforgettable characters she has created in this series of intertwined and linked stories about the particular challenges, joys and disappointments of adult relationships. Her characters grapple with infertility and infidelity, fame and familial discord, in a magnificent debut that will resonate broadly with readers
This is from the library Overdrive and I’m really enjoying it.
I’m about 100 pages in.
Second, Kathy Griffin’s Celebrity Run-Ins: My A-Z Index.
Kathy Griffin has seen it all. Shocking and sidesplitting, Kathy Griffin’s Celebrity Run-Ins is an indispensable guide to the stars from one of our most beloved comedians.
I saw her interviewed about this book and it was entertaining.
She told some stories and I thought it would make a good, nothing too taxing, hopefully make me laugh or smile book!
This weeks project is inspired by a Ravelry member that I follow on Instagram.
She is a hat making machine and I love to see all the styles and colors she makes (most for charity).
So, I have cast on a hat.
I chose Patons Work Sock Hat Pattern.
Although I would love to make this with the colors shown, I am using a Caron Cake for this hat.
I haven’t been too successful in making a hat in the round, so not having to change yarns will be helpful.
I hope to make two hats to add to my charity box.
In other exciting news, Miss ME started school yesterday!
Have a good week!
Joining Ginny’s Yarn Along
I hope she had a great first day of school. If you need help with your hat, let me know.
