I always like to have a baby blanket or two finished (or started) in my stash.
You never know when someone’s daughter, a coworker or a family friend will announce they are expecting.
A while back I started a corner to corner (C2C) baby blanket, but never finished it.
Recently, a coworker had a baby boy and since this C2C is gender neutral, I finished it and am ready to send it to her!
I used this tutorial for the stitch (which I had to watch to reacquaint myself with the stitch and decreases). Thank you to Mikey of The Crochet Crowd for your clear tutorials.
I really wanted a nice border for this blanket, not just a simple double crochet.
Onto Ravelry I went and searched C2C.
There I found project notes from Sit-N-Spin (Ravelry name) who’s finished blanket had a fabulous wavy crochet border, I LOVED it! (In fact, I love her entire blanket!).
I used this tutorial from Bella Coco to learn the stitch.
I love the result!
Final touch will be this tag.
(The above picture shows the true colors-it is a rainy day here in the Northeast, not great for picture taking)
Now its time to move onto my next baby blanket for the daughter of a friend!
I plan on doing either another C2C or using a Charlotte Square.
Happy Crocheting!

Solid, good job on this FO. Baby blankets are always handy and last a really long time. I have a baby blanket someone hooked for me; Jellybean uses it on her bed.

I have to say… this is the prettiest edging I’ve seen in a long time. I love how it compliments this C2C blanket. In fact, it makes me want to make another C2C blanket! I am keeping track of this edging, Thank you for sharing!

I love your C2C blanket and the colors you chose….definitely gender neutral and so pretty. I have done several C2C’s and I also used Mikey’s video….he is really good. I’m glad to know about another edging for it too. I love it! No matter what the project you always do such beautiful work. Have a great week! And keep coming back as I get so much inspiration from you!

What a gorgeous blanket. I wish I could crochet better as I love the look of blankets, but I really don’t have time for another hobby!

I understand. I started knitting too and it is hard to divide time between projects!
