Starting January 1st, I decided to get serious about losing the 17 pounds I sadly let creep back on after losing 50+ pounds of pregnancy weight.
I’m trying not to beat myself up about it, but I’m disappointed in myself.
Since January 1st, I have done a good job (I think a pretty darn good job) of getting my exercise, steps and work outs in.
But the weight did not change.
A friend said she wanted to return to weight watchers and needed motivation.
Well, things are easier with a buddy, so I bought a 6 month pass.
No excuses.
Then a friend in California decided to do it, so now I have two WW buddies.
The plan has changed since I did it 4 years ago (I became pregnant with my daughter 5 months postpartum so I had to stop the program).
I like the changes they have made!
Boy, has the point system been eye opening for me.
Those “healthy choices” I thought I was making?
Not so much.
I can’t tell you how many times I have put something down after seeing the point value and reached for an apple or orange instead.
I used all my daily points and a few weekly points and never felt hungry.
I walked almost every day, went to my Monday night spin class and did a few 21 Day Fix workouts.
Today was weigh in day.
Down 6.2 pounds!
I know that is just the “first week rush”, but it is darn motivating!
I also am trying to expand our dinner repertoire here at Summer Street.
This weeks choice, Skinnytaste’s Korean Chicken.
SOOOOO good!
I broiled it and had it for dinner and lunch the next day with some roasted asparagus.
Definitely a keeper, especially when we have the grill set up for the summer!
Hope to report there is less of me next Saturday!
Have a good week!
That is a great start. Kudos for you on taking action.
