This week, I put my Cleo Tones scarf on the blocking boards!
This has been a a nice, relaxing project…although it has taken me a long time to complete.
Knitting here and there, mostly while watching TV.
The lovely color changes of the Plymouth Yarn Cleo Tones was soothing.
This scarf is loosely based on a free Ravelry pattern named Oh, Helen!
I made a mistake at one point and decided to do some garter rows to cover it up.
I like how the random garter stripes give it some visual appeal.
We had a heat wave this week and I needed a small project I could work on (no way I was working on my Charlotte afghan in 90 degree weather!)
I cast on another free Ravelry pattern named Chunky Textured Slouchy Hat.
Using left over RedHeart SuperSaver in gold.
This is the first hat into the box for Hooking for the Homeless (I like to send a big box of hats and scarves in the fall).
A simple hat, worked flat and seamed together.
Since the body of the hat was all garter stitch, this was quick and a great TV watching project.
I have cast on another hat and will post on that when it is done (loving the inexpensive yarn I chose).
I also started a Jelly Roll Race Quilt.
A great project for me to work on my seam allowances and sewing a straight line (harder than it sounds!).
Have a good week!
