A while back, I saw this hat posted on Ravelry.
I loved the cat hat and I LOVED the yarn from Hedgehog Fibers.
Unfortunately, no shop near me sells Hedgehog and, honestly, I didn’t want to spend a lot of cash on more yarn.
One day, while walking through Joann’s, I saw Big Twist Sincerely in Cupcake Confetti.
It had a similar look to the Hedgehog fiber at at $2.99 (after coupon) how could I resist.
I used the pattern from the Pussy Hat Project (free pattern by Kat Coyle).
I LOVED working with this yarn!
It is super soft and it was so nice to work with.
Where do the lemons come in?
Here you go:
The hat ended up being HUGE…
Seriously, ENORMOUS.
I really didn’t want to frog it or throw it away.
So, I folded the sides in towards the back.
Fixed them in place with a pompom.
Used the pompom string tails to whip stitch the folded back down.
Then I made braids to connect to the bulky bottom in the back.
It now is a seriously cute hat!
You can’t tell in the picture, but it still has the look of a cat hat and is so soft!
I have a ton of this yarn left over and plan on making Miss ME a hat also.
Have a good day!
Well done!

Thanks! I really dislike purling so I didn’t want to just throw away all that stockinette!
