For the two weeks prior, I gained a total of 1 pound.
So, for this past week, I set the following goals:
- Track every day
- Move my body every day
For #2, I didn’t put any parameters.
Some days I went for a 3 mile walk, some days I did a Beach Body Video, but I did move every day.
Today’s weigh in, I lost that 1 pound I gained.
I am 5 pounds away from my goal…which in my world means at least another two months, as I lose 0.5-0.8 pounds a week usually.
Thats ok though.
The longer I do this, the more ingrained the good habits will become.
On July 10th, one of my FB fitness groups started a three week challenge (my challenge for myself the first week was #2 above).
This group is run by a woman named Anne, that I found on Instagram (via 21 Day Fix which I follow for inspiration), and was so inspired by her that I follow her on FB and became part of her group.
I think I am so inspired by her (not simply for the fact that she has lost 130 pounds), but because she is a working wife and mother who just tries really hard everyday to live a healthier life style.
At the beginning of this three week challenge she said “just fake it till you make it” and that is what I did.
I said to myself “Just go for a good walk, don’t beat yourself up that it isn’t a ‘hard workout’ with weights”.
Thinking like that means I did something almost every day this week (no work out on Friday as my husband and I had a babysitter who could stay later that originally planned and we were selfish and met after work for appetizers and drinks-much needed husband and wife “we need to catch up with each other” time).
I hit 10,000 steps every day, tracked everyday (including those drinks and appetizers) and I lost.
Do I wish I would lose more than a pound a week?
Yup, but even though it is a slow process, I am closer to my goal.
Have a good week!
