Weekly Weigh In

Last week I went into my weigh in thinking I had done a really good job that week.

I was up over 1 pound.

I went home and looked over my tracking and workouts, and realized, no I didn’t do a good job.

I had really not made good choices.

I need to realize that this is not a diet, this is a way of life.

When I reach goal, I can’t just stop and expect to maintain my weight.

So, I’m working on my mindset now.

I may slip up, but I have to remind myself that if I make the best choice I can, I’ll see results.

Today, I was down 2.8 pounds.

14.4 pounds gone, on my way to my goal of 17 pounds lost.

What did I do differently this week?

I made a conscious decision to add in more fruits and vegetables.

I drank Shakeology 5 out of 7 days (helps with my sugar cravings).

I did some form of exercise every day.

I made sure to do workouts with weights (this is something I really want to focus on-toning up)

Those choices showed on the scale today!

No new recipes this week, I kept is simple-chicken, lots of summer veggies, lots of apples as snacks.

Workouts:

Saturday: Playground with the kids

Sunday: Β 30 minute walk with the kids

Monday: 21 DF Total Body Cardio (8 and 10 pound weights)

Tuesday: 2 mile run, 50 minute upper body workout (7.5-20 Β pound weights and machines) with my friend Kat

Wednesday: PiYo Pro Team Round 38: Stretch and Flow

Thursday: 21 DF Kill Cupcake workout (5-8 pound weights)

Friday: Rolling Hills Elliptical program (30 minutes)

Onto the new week!

    Congrats on the weight loss! πŸ™‚ It really is a lifestyle change. I think diets fail because of that mindset. I’ve realized that I love to eat and drink wine…so instead of altering what I eat, I compensate by activity. It works for my lifestyle choice!
