I finished reading On Turpentine Lane and I really enjoyed it!
If the main character had gone a different way when dealing with her “fiancé”, I probably would have put the book down, but it was a fun quick read.
As I predicted, I am reading The Radium Girls here and there.
It is not, for me at least, a sit down and read straight through book.
The main book I am reading is Magpie Murders by Anthony Horowitz.
When editor Susan Ryeland is given the manuscript of Alan Conway’s latest novel, she has no reason to think it will be much different from any of his others. After working with the bestselling crime writer for years, she’s intimately familiar with his detective, Atticus Pünd, who solves mysteries disturbing sleepy English villages. An homage to queens of classic British crime such as Agatha Christie and Dorothy Sayers, Alan’s traditional formula has proved hugely successful. So successful that Susan must continue to put up with his troubling behavior if she wants to keep her job.
Conway’s latest tale has Atticus Pünd investigating a murder at Pye Hall, a local manor house. Yes, there are dead bodies and a host of intriguing suspects, but the more Susan reads, the more she’s convinced that there is another story hidden in the pages of the manuscript: one of real-life jealousy, greed, ruthless ambition, and murder.

I hope I have enough time to read this as I took it from the library via Overdrive (love Overdrive!), and I haven’t figured out how to renew books on Overdrive.
Last week I finished Purl Soho’s Color Tipped Scarf and now I am using the left over yarn to make a scrappy, stash busting knit hat.
I’m at the decrease and have switched to DPNs (yikes-not used to using those).
I do love the mixture of colors though: oatmeal, gray marble, dusky blue, rust, and pink.
Today has been a good day as I had 1-800-GOT-JUNK come and take away old furniture to make room for the new!
Delivered today!
New couch, recliner, and bedroom furniture!
I may never leave the squishy comfort of the new couch!
Except for Friday when I’m off to see Lady GaGa at Fenway Park!
Have a good week!
Joining Rachel at Little Room of Rachell and also Book Date.
Oooh I’m envious of your squishy new couch!!! We are resigned on keeping our old ones until we move in a few years…they are pretty much pet couches now lol… I HATE dpn’s…I try and try and they just stress me out lol!

I totally fell asleep on the couch last night, woke up at 3am 🙂 I don’t think I could do an entire project with dpn’s, stresses me out. Use them only for the last few rounds of hats (because I hate purling and don’t want to do hats flat and seam…I’m weird!)
