It has been a crazy two weeks.
End of summer, kids starting school, etc.
Not much crafting going on (sewing is on hold until the kids are both back in school, Miss ME starts this Monday).
I did manage to make some basic hats for charity though.
Up first, a simple beanie using up a Caron Cake in Macaroon color way:
I still have yarn left and will be making another hat starting today.
Next up, a simple beanie using up Scarfie yarn:
This next hat is for me, as I love the colors (using up yarn from my Color Tipped Scarf):
I successfully used double point needles to finish off all these hats.
On the needles right now, a simple beanie using Quince and Co. worsted weight yarn.
This one will also be for me and I’ll be finishing it off with Β a purple fur pompom from Lion Brand Yarn.
Yesterday, Miss ME and I went to Joann Fabrics and she picked out the colors she wants for her new Frosted Cupcake Crochet hat.
A pattern from Snappy Tots, Miss ME picked out bright orange for the base of the cupcake and a speckled cream colored yarn for the frosting (both from the Big Twist line).
Can’t wait to see it on her!
All the charity hats will be going into a box for Hooking for the Homeless.
I will also be adding in some pillow cases and other sewn items as this charity also provides items for people getting back on their feet in a new apartment after being homeless.
Have a good week!
Wow, that’s a lot of hats, well done!

Look at that pretty little hat model!!! She’s adorable and so are the hats!!! I managed one hat this week, and I had DPN-related post-stress….I think it’s great that you’re knitting for charity! π
