Mixing It Up…

This past week, I did a hodgepodge of projects.

First up, a very cute ear warmer.

Here is Miss ME modeling it:

This is a free pattern with video tutorial found here.

This was a quick, easy, one cable ear warmer.

I have rethought my dislike of Lion Brand Thick & Quick….I’m now on board with it.

Once I started using larger needles (larger than 10mm), I’ve liked it more and more.

I also am currently making a Kimono Sweater in Thick & Quick with size 15mm needles and it is super soft (more on this later).

Second, I realized I have been using my kids pillow cases (Peppa Pig has been my bed buddy).

So, I whipped up some quick pillow cases.

Using stash fabric, they were a quick fun project.

Third, I have been following along with the So Sew English Facebook Group’s 12 Days of Holiday Sew-A-Long.

I made myself and Miss ME quick, easy ponchos (SO easy).

Miss ME pretended I was a model and caught this picture:

Lastly, to kick off the holiday season, I took a class at my local sewing studio (The Creative Sewing Studio), making decorative holiday stockings.

A fun class, I hope to make several stockings and fill them with trial size soaps, toothpaste, etc and send them to Hooking for the Homeless.

I will be returning to the studio in two weeks for a cowl making class.

All in all, a productive week!

How do you so it all? I love Miss ME’s picture in the ear warmers…she is really photogenic! The ponchos are darling and I think you have a budding photographer there in Miss ME. I can’t wait to see your sweater and the stockings are darling. I love the idea of Hooking for the Homeless. I’m going to look that up. What a great idea!

Your ear warmers are lovely, and modelled so well. Love the stockings and the pillowcases are beautiful (although you can’t go wrong with Peppa pig!)

Terrific sewing projects here. I love that ear warmer! I WANT to steal yours. The pom pom trim on your stocking is so fun. I need to try trims like that. When I made my husband’s Star Wars, I looked at the pattern and those fancy trim options and was like running for the hills. Too hard I said and moved on to just sew a simple stocking. It makes me happy to see it hanging by the fireplace.
