After the rush of the holidays, I wanted small, easy, quick projects.
I made myself some simple garter stitch fingerless mitts using Woolspun from my stash.
I cast on 30 stitches and finished these while watching tv the night before a snow storm.
Then I saw Yarnutopia’s Wonderfully Warm Mittens blog post and decided this would be a fun project.
I was right!
Quick, easy-such a cute finished project.
Also using Lion Brand Woolspun from my stash, I finished these in record time.
When off the hand they look very narrow, however they fit quite well.
These I will be adding to my box for Hooking for the Homeless.
Next up, coffee cozies.
After I posted this picture and one of a finished cozy, several friends asked for a coffee cozy.
I have a few more to make 🙂
Top left-broken rib stitch in Lion Brand Wool Ease
Top right-garter stitch in Lion Brand BonBons
Bottom left-garter stitch in Big Twist Serenity
Bottom Right-box stitch in Big Twist Serenity.
I am currently casting on one in seed stitch using Fibranatura Inca – Inca Yellow.
These were nice, mindless, watch tv projects.
Have a good week!

I love your pictures. And your fun projects. And I love that Woolspun yarn. It’s so squishy soft. I wouldn’t have thought to make something like mittens with it, but those look great. Being familiar with this yarn I can totally see how they would stretch. I love the idea of all those cozies being different stitch patterns. Again, what a fun project!

The Woolspun is squishy! I plan on making some more mittens out of it for the charity!

Your needles have been flying this past week. Good idea about doing some small mindless projects after all the hub bub of the season is over.

What a fun, pop of color your mitts are. I like how you can just throw them in the wash with the acrylic in it.

Brilliant fun projects – I do love a coffee cosy for my morning coffee, otherwise it burns my fingers!
