A few weeks ago, I sold my Necchi Supernova sewing machine on FB marketplace.
I found I just wasn’t using it enough to keep it.
I drove to a different town to make the sale and passed a Joann’s Fabrics on the way.
So, of course I stopped in!
I was surprised to find many different products that my local Joann’s does not carry.
One of the products was a Wool and the Gang kit.
I have seen these kits all over social media…in particular Instagram.
I had a 60% off coupon and decided to give it a go.
The kit included the yarn, needles and pattern (which included instructions on how to knit, purl, cast on, bind off and seam the cowl together).
A simple project, I think this would be a good kit to give to someone who wanted to learn to knit.
Big yarn, big needles, clear instructions.
However, I would never pay full price for this kit which was $30.00 (even more expensive online at the WATG site).
I didn’t find the yarn anything special, certainly not a reason to pay that much money (sweater kits cost about $100.00).
In fact, I find Patons Classic Roving nicer and it is a half the price (WATG yarn at Joann’s was $14.99/ball).
I’m glad I bought the kit and tried it as I have honestly been curious for long time.
I did end up with a nice cowl 🙂
Have a good week!
Nice cowl…….good call on the pricing too. I love JoAnns coupons.

I love coupons too! Probably the reason why my stashes are as big as they are!

How neat to find Wool and the Gang there. I always eye some of their patterns but you have to buy the whole kit which I buck against. I love a good coupon. I usually wait for the 20% ones.
