On Monday, I had a meeting at my house so I didn’t go to the gym while the kids were in school.
After the meeting, I set out to sew some patterns I had cut out during our last snow storm/no power (an aside, we are expecting 12 inches tomorrow-ugh).
I attempted to sew Miss ME a simple fleece sweatshirt using a Burda pattern.
Unfortunately, after I sewed on the neckband I looked at it and thought “oh boy, this is not fitting over her noggin'”.
I was right, no way did it fit.
I abandoned that project and will sew it again with stretchier material.
I had however cut out some cute flannel pajama bottoms.
I found cute flannel at Joann’s for$1.99/yard.
Hello new pj bottoms!
Simplicity #8022 is exactly what it says, easy-to-sew.
Two pattern pieces, it couldn’t be easier.
If I was using silky or expensive material I would go back to the pattern I used for my Craftsy class (teaches how to add cuffs, etc.), but for simple flannel, this pattern is perfect.
Time to throw out my two favorite, well worn pairs of pj pants
(See above: wearing them the day I gave birth to Miss ME….So, they are over 5-6 years old?? Well worn. BTW: I look worn out, but I love this picture of me and E on that day)
I have more flannel in my stash (London themed)…what to make with it???
Have a great week!
Flannel material has the best prints! I wish sometimes they were made as cotton fabric.
