Last Minute

I recently found out that a co-worker of mine became a grandmother!

We’ve been working different shifts so I had no idea this was happening.

So, into my stash I went.

I found some cute Winnie the Pooh fabric and some pink fat quarters.

I decided it was time for me to use a fun decorative stitch on my sewing machine…they are there and I never use them.

Time to change that.

How cute does that look?

Unfortunately, I didn’t have enough fabric to make a blanket, but now she has a Winnie the Pooh changing pad!

A simple project, but it really is the thought that counts.

I wanted her to know how happy I am for her, first time Gramma!

Have a good weekend!

As a mom of two boys, changing pads out in public that weren’t bulky and nasty…..those were my jam. I used to pack a hand towel to put there because I could wash it. The plastic one was nice in a pinch but you couldn’t really wash it properly (just a wipe-down with some bleach). That is awesome ๐Ÿ™‚

Simple gifts are truly among the best, especially when they’re handmade with cute fabrics, details like special stitches, and all the thought that goes into such a gift. I think the mother (or grandmother – if she’s the one who uses it) will smile every time she pulls it out and puts baby on it. ๐Ÿ™‚

I love that fabric and I think it’s a great idea! You already have so much to take when you leave the house with a new baby, I think they will really enjoy it.
