…my favorite time of the year!
Well, its almost sweater weather.
I’ve taken two weeks away from blogging and enjoyed a trip to Carmel CA and the school year started (one week apart) for each child.
(Pebble Beach Golf Resort, 17 Mile Drive and The Carmel Coastline)
(Yay! Free time for myself!!)
It has been a busy few weeks.
Now, it is time to get back into a schedule.
Before I left for CA, I completed a WIP that is on my YOP 2018/2019 list-The Telluride Kimono Sweater.
I saw this on Mama In a Stitch’s site and loved it.
I started it long ago (I think it was also on my 2017/2018 YOP list) and thought it was time to power through and finish it.
An easy pattern, just two rectangles seamed together.
Made with Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick & Quick, it was a quick project (once I decided to focus on it and it only).
I cast on cast on 35 stitches (L/XL) but made the 43″ length.
(photos by Miss Mary…in my pj’s with crazy hair…why not?)
It looks cute open and if I want it closed in the front, a shawl pin will work quite well.
It is SUPER warm and will be great when the weather finally breaks and Fall arrives.
I’m not quite sure why I can’t find this pattern on Ravelry, but it is a free pattern at the site (link above).
I also am using the JojiFallKAL as motivation to finally make The Easy Bulky One.
I purchased the pattern and yarn when the original The Easy One KAL was happening, but never cast on.
Normally, I would never have spent the amount of money I did on the recommended yarn, but I had several call shifts in a row where I was called in all night and treated myself.
I’m nervous, but I swatched (for the first time ever) and I managed to achieve gauge…so I cast on and am going forward.
I’ll keep you updated.
Thats it for right now!
Have a great week!
(Also, to make room for more pictures, I have deleted approximately 100 pictures from the blog-mainly pictures of projects I blogged but never completed or pictures that were repetitive. So, if you see missing pictures on old posts, it is not a mistake. Thanks)
