After finishing my Stitch Sampler Shawl (which I just LOVE!), I wanted to use the left over yarn for a small project.
At first, I thought a hat, but then I purchased the newest Simply Knitting Magazine and read an article on using knitting to decompress (which I have really needed the past few weeks).
The project was fingerless mitts.
I immediately cast on.
I didn’t follow the row pattern per se, but I did follow the amount of rows and ribbing to make the correct length.
Once again, I love the colors in these yarns.
Knit flat, then seamed.
I chose to crochet one row of single crochet around the thumb hole.
A quick knit, I love how soft these are!
Past making of fingerless knits reminded me that I needed to do a stretchy bind off so it would’t be too tight around my fingers (I used the same bind off I did for my shawl-found on Very Pink Knits).
I still have yarn remaining and decided to make a magic ball.
I had recently seen this video by Inside 23.
I love the scrappy granny blanket she is making from her magic ball, so I am totally copying her!
Have a great week!
