I have so many patterns from Make & Do Crew saved to Ravlery it is embarrassing.
So, when I saw on Instagram that Jess had a new book , I took a peek.
I fell in love with this pattern:
I went through my stash and bought a few skeins to complete what I needed and I am ready to crochet.
However, it has been a long time since I have done corner to corner crochet.
So I chose to start with a simpler pattern.
In the book there is a shawl using Lion Brand Mandala yarn which I happen to have the required two skeins in my stash.
As I was finishing the first skein, I saw that my friend had a baby!
I honestly thought I had a little more time to make a gift…what to do.
(See baby #1’s project here and baby #2’s project here)
Well, using the books instructions, I turned the shawl into a lovely baby blanket!
Luckily, the colors are appropriate for a boy 🙂
This was a great project as I didn’t have to worry about bobbins or weaving in ends.
Mandala is a soft yarn and I have loved wearing my Hitchhiker made of Mandala.
If you want a lovely C2C book, I suggest this one!
This is in the mail today 🙂
Have a great week!

I’ll have to google corner to corner crochet, as I am not sure what it means. I have pretty much only gone around in circles doing crochet. The baby blanket looks great, looks like hundreds of hours of work to me!

It’s a method of crochet where you work at an angle. Works up very quickly!

My C2C took forever to do. You did yours so quickly. The black and white scene is stunning. It will be awesome.

That “skyline” C2C is possibly the best (to me) C2C!!! And your baby blanket turned out beautifully. So pretty in those colors. It has a sophisticated look to it.

That baby blanket is darling and so ‘updated’ from the blankets we used to make. Mandala yarn turns out so neat looking in C2C. I did the Hitchhiker using Mandala after I saw yours and now I want to do a blanket….it turned out great! The book looks good and I am going to follow her blog.
