My hair stylist/colorist had her first baby!
So adorable and exciting.
In the weeks leading up to his birth, I made her a blanket.
Following a pattern found in Simply Crochet Magazine Issue 39, I made a soft, squishy blanket.
I used a new to me yarn: Lion Brand’s Feels Like Butta.
Super soft and machine washable and dryable.
I bought the big skein, >500 yards per skein and used all of the blue (in fact, I ran out so the pattern isn’t exactly even).
I plan on using the left over gray to make the kids some winter hats.
Sometimes I forget how pretty crochet stitches are.
She sent me a picture of the baby wrapped in the blanket soon after he was born (in fact, she used the picture to announce his arrival to her clients).
I know it will be well loved.
Have a great week!
How wonderful you stylist was to send you a photo of her baby wrapped in the blanket. That to me is the most precious gift ever. That blanket is so nice and looks very cuddly, Crocheted blankets do have lovely stitches. I think we sometimes forget how lovely crochet can be. What a blessing to be able to do both knit and crochet, yes?

That’s a very pretty crochet stitch. How lovely to know it is being used and is appreciated. Your finished objects gallery on the right, as I write, is so colourful. Lovely projects on there.

I love that stitch. I made a blanket with what looks like the same stitch. Your hairdresser is very lucky and I am glad the blanket will get lots of use.

Ooooh… Sounds Like Butta sounds wonderfully soft and squishy. And the blanket you made with it is very nice! How nice of the mother to send you a picture of the blanket in use!

HAD written that wrong. Good grief. I’m pretty sure I’ve done all the damage I can do with this. Tootles!
