Evolution of a Crochet Shrug

On my YOP list was Two of Wands Movie Night Cocoon Shrug.

Although I plan on making it, as I went through my Pinterest crochet board I realized I have A LOT of sweaters and shrugs from Make & Do pinned.

I had purchased Lion Brand Comfy Cotton Blend yarn during a sale.

I thought I’d make one of Mama in a Stitch’s newest knit cardigans, but I realized I was itching to crochet.

So, I chose to make Make & Do’s Easy Breezy Crochet Shrug.

I have just a few more rows to complete on the back panel then I can start the border.

Normally I am not a fan of working with cotton, I find it hard on my hands.

This yarn though is lovely to work with and is super soft.

When I’m done with this, my next crochet sweater is this one:

I fell in love with his pattern as soon as saw it.

I purchased velvet yarn during Joann Fabrics buy one get one 76% off sale.

Crafting is going slow as the kids are out of camp and I have less time, but I’ll get this shrug done soon I hope.

Have a great week!

I really like both of those sweaters. I haven’t seen that cotton yet (of course, I’ve been avoiding yarn in stores). I imagine it will make a lovely sweater. I love cotton sweaters.
