Tiny Sweater

I took a break from my crochet shrug to make a baby shower gift.

This shower kind of snuck up on me, so I was pressed for time.

I opted to make a free pattern called Quick Oats and use Knit Picks Brava Bulky.

Quick it was!

I used two buttons that I had purchased in the garment district in NYC and they worked perfectly.

To go with the sweater, I made some onesies.

Originally I was going to use fabric paint, but that looked sloppy.

So I opted for iron on decals.

I think they turned out cute!

Today was the shower and it was lovely!

After the shower my son had his first soccer practice with our local Special Olympics program.

We are really looking forward to soccer, then basketball, then track and field in the spring!

It was a jam packed but fun day!

Have a great week!

Your baby sweater and onesies are adorable. The iron-on transfers are great! Your son looks like a natural carrying that soccer ball. I hope he (and you all) enjoy many hours as he runs, and kicks, throws, and catches all the balls! πŸ™‚
