We have a fabulous fabric store in the area (Ryco Trimming Co.) that sadly will be closing in December.
Last week, two friends and I took a road trip (all of 25 minutes) to go, shop and then have lunch.
I am a coffee-a-holic and purchased a cute fabric with take out coffee cups.
Using linen remnants I had in my stash, I made a cute knitting project bag.
I deleted my previous blog posts to create more room, so I couldn’t reference past patterns.
I found a free pattern on The Spruce Crafts and decided to do a little sewing today.
I used a random piece of interfacing I had, pink linen for the lining and a sturdy piece of brown linen for the base.
I interfaced the outer pieces but did not interface the lining.
The pattern calls for snaps and I do have some I could sew on (I’ll decide that at a later date).
This was a quick sewing project and it will be used for my Joji Fall KAL 2021 project- Rafa’s Hat.
On a side note, an account I follow on IG, Ms Crown On SE Seventh,
posted a ways back about using a great tool for measuring seam allowance.
I purchased it and a Sewist’s Magic Wand and used them both today!
Both were very useful today (the magnetic seam marker is super strong and holds very well).
Have a great week!
