Last Saturday it was Little Yarn Shop Day. My roommate from college and I met for lunch and some yarn shopping. We had lunch at an adorable French Bistro and had a nice "catch up on our lives" lunch. I found myself going online to find pictures of the art, architecture and additional background on the fire. I recommend this book. … Continue reading Book Date
Last make of 2018

This week, I finished A Place for Us. A Place for Us unfolds the lives of an Indian-American Muslim family, gathered together in their Californian hometown to celebrate the eldest daughter, Hadia's, wedding - a match of love rather than tradition. It is here, on this momentous day, that Amar, the youngest of the siblings, … Continue reading Book Date

Year of Projects 2018-2019
For the past two years I have really loved participating in the Ravelry group Year of Projects. It is a great way to motivate yourself to finish projects, try something new or difficult and gather inspiration from others posts. I have put things such as "learn to knit socks", "take a sewing class", "refurbish a … Continue reading Year of Projects 2018-2019
